About Central Barks

Central Barks began on the school run, when Shelbie and Luke met after their daughters started school together. What started as a quick chat turned into a genuine friendship, with both families quickly becoming close. It didn’t take long to realise they had a lot in common. Both driven, both caring, and both wanting to build something of their own.

Shelbie had already spent years working with dogs, building real hands-on experience supported by qualifications in canine behaviour and animal first aid. Luke had spent the past decade as a web developer, creating websites and systems for businesses while always looking for something more meaningful to build.

The idea for Central Barks came naturally. Through Shelbie’s experience and Luke’s work in the industry, it was clear that dog walking services were often missing the structure, reliability, and ease that owners expect. There was an opportunity to raise the standard.

By combining their skills, they created Central Barks. Bringing together trusted dog care with a modern, straightforward experience designed to make life easier for owners.

Having both grown up with dogs, they understand the level of trust involved in handing over your best friend. That responsibility is something they take seriously in everything they do.
